George Santos Stepping Down From Committees: Reports
Rep. George Santos, a Republican from New York, reportedly informed House Republican colleagues that his intention to withdraw himself from any committees.
Multiple investigations are underway into the freshman congressman. He has also admitted to lying about his career and personal life.

During a closed-door meeting on Tuesday, Santos said he will leave his assignments on the House Small Business Committee and the Science, Space and Technology Committee because “he’s a distraction,” a Republican lawmaker told The Washington Post.
