Georgia Real Estate Agent Mistakenly Gets Invitation To The Masters

A Georgia Last week, a letter was sent to man inviting him to participate in the Masters golf Tournament was delivered to his home with his name on it.

Scott Stallings, a 60-year-old real estate agent, and his wife Jennifer found an envelope outside of their St. Simons Island, Georgia, home on New Year’s Eve. After opening the letter, Stallings discovered that an invitation to the annual tournament of golf was inside. However, Stallings, who is a casual golfer, quickly realized that it was for Scott Stallings a pro golfer whom Stallings had seen on television.

“Right away, I know this isn’t me,” Stallings stated, according The New York Times “How in the heck did it show up here?”

Scott Stallings, a pro golfer, was starting to wonder when his Masters invitation would arrive. They had been sent out the week prior to Christmas. Stallings was aware he had been selected for the tournament following his victory at the Tour Championship last season and thought maybe his wife Jennifer would send him the invitation for Christmas. reported.

Scott Stallings then sent the pro golfer an Instagram message informing him of the mixup.

“Hi Scott. My name is Scott Stallings as well and I’m from GA. My wife’s name is Jennifer too!” The real estate agent wrote. “I received a FedEx today from the Masters inviting me to play in the Masters Tournament April 6-9, 2023. I’m (100 percent) sure this is NOT for me.”

The American golfer, who now lives in Tennesse, said he used to own a sports management company with an office in St. Simons Island, next to the other Scott Stallings’ condo.

Stallings thanked him by inviting him to dinner, and offering tickets for him to practice at Augusta National.

“Literally had been checking the mailbox five times a day and then I got this random DM yesterday,” The golfer shared a screenshot from the message he received, and said that it was clear. “My Masters invite got sent to a different Scott Stallings.”

Stallings placed second in BMW Championship. He also finished in top-30 in Tour Championship. This includes a spot in The Masters. Stallings has been to Augusta National twice before, his best result being 27th in 2012.
