Huge phallus on lawn to host party for King Charles III’s coronation.
Residents of Royal Crescent in Bath Find Phallic Image Mowed into Lawn Ahead of King Charles III’s Coronation Party
Residents of the exclusive Royal Crescent area in Bath, England, were shocked to find a 30-foot phallic symbol mowed into the lawn that will be the site of a party celebrating King Charles III’s coronation. The row of upscale homes, some of which date back to the 18th century, form a crescent on a single street and are known for their “perfect lawn.”
A Grand Coronation Party
The lawn in question will host a “grand coronation party” thrown by locals on Saturday in celebration of Charles’ coronation. The flyer for the event reads, “Celebrate the 300th anniversary of the Georgian era. Decorate your own regal crown, watch demonstrations on royal fashion and visit the Georgian Cook cooking up delicious recipes in the kitchen.”
Unclear Motives
It is currently unclear if the phallic symbol was mowed into the lawn in response to the upcoming event or for some other reason. At the time of this publication, it is unknown if law enforcement has been called in to investigate the incident.
Star-Studded Royal Festivities
The party will take place after King Charles III is officially crowned at Westminster Abbey in London on Saturday. American celebrities like Katy Perry, Lionel Richie, and more will take part in the royal festivities. Buckingham Palace recently confirmed that Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will travel to the United Kingdom for the ceremony but his wife, Meghan Markle, will remain in southern California with their two children.
“Buckingham Palace is pleased to confirm that The Duke of Sussex will attend the Coronation Service at Westminster Abbey on 6th May,” a statement read. “The Duchess of Sussex will remain in California with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.”
