According ⁢to ‌Tierney, Heuermann used‌ Google to search for⁤ information⁣ related to the Gilgo case. ⁣He ⁣asked ⁤specific questions ⁢about the phone evidence ⁣and why it‌ couldn’t‌ be traced. Additionally,​ he ‍viewed ​pictures ⁤of the ​victims online and searched for ​information about ⁤their siblings. ⁣In one⁤ instance, ⁢he even‍ admitted to being the killer and made ⁤threats towards one of the victims’ ⁢sisters.

Arrest⁢ and‌ ongoing investigation

Suffolk ‌County ⁣police ⁣apprehended ‌Heuermann at ⁣his ⁤home‌ last Thursday ‍night, marking ⁣a major breakthrough⁤ in⁢ the decade-long investigation.‌ The news of his arrest ⁣was ‍made public the ‌following morning.⁣ Heuermann⁢ has been charged ‍with three‍ of the ⁤11 deaths associated‌ with the​ case,‍ to‍ which he pleaded⁤ not⁤ guilty. The investigation⁣ into his criminal activities ⁢is ⁣still ongoing, as‍ authorities work to ⁢establish ⁢any ​connections to⁢ the murders of​ eight ‌additional ⁤victims.
