Carano’s⁣ lawsuit accuses ⁣the ⁢companies of ‍discrimination and wrongful termination, ‍as she believes she was fired due to ‍expressing her right-wing political views on social media. She is seeking a court order to be reinstated in the show.

The lawsuit claims that‌ Carano’s firing was a result of her expressing her political opinions, and Elon Musk⁣ has ‌reportedly offered financial support for her legal defense. Musk has previously shown support for ‍individuals facing discrimination on his social media platform, Twitter.

Joe⁢ Benarroch, X’s head of business operations, released a statement in ‍support of Carano’s lawsuit, emphasizing the importance of ‍free speech and condemning ‍bullying‍ and discrimination.

“As a sign of X Corp’s commitment to free ‍speech, we’re proud to provide financial support for Gina Carano’s lawsuit, empowering ⁣her to seek vindication of her free speech rights on X and the ability to work without bullying, harassment, or discrimination.”

In 2021,‍ Carano was ⁤informed by Lucasfilm⁢ that she would ‌not ⁣be returning to The Mandalorian after she made controversial‍ statements ‍on⁣ social ‍media. These statements included ⁢comparing the treatment of Jews during the Holocaust to the treatment of individuals with different political views⁣ and expressing skepticism towards COVID-19 mandates ‌and the 2020 presidential election.

Carano has stated that her words were twisted to portray her as an extremist, and she believes that‌ Disney and Lucasfilm targeted ⁣her for her religious and cultural beliefs. She also claims that the media‌ giant ignored derogatory remarks made by her male ⁢co-stars about Republicans, including a social⁤ media post by Pedro Pascal ⁤comparing Hitler to former⁤ President Donald Trump.

The lawsuit further alleges⁤ that Disney forced Carano ‍to ‍meet with representatives of the Gay & Lesbian ‌Alliance Against⁢ Discrimination and demanded a public apology, which she refused. As a result, she was fired from ‍ The Mandalorian and other Star Wars television shows.

Carano also accuses Disney of⁢ conducting a smear ‍campaign against her, citing the⁣ removal of ‍an⁤ episode of Running Wild With Bear Grylls in‌ which she appeared.⁢ Despite these ‌challenges, Carano remains determined to seek justice ⁢and is grateful for Elon‍ Musk’s support.

“Some of us have been ⁣unjustly singled out, harassed, persecuted and had our livelihoods stripped away because we dared to encourage conversation, asked questions, and refused to go along ‌with the mob,” ⁣she said ⁤in a statement.

Carano expressed her ⁤gratitude⁢ for Musk’s support, stating, “I am honored that my case has been chosen to be supported by the company that has been one⁤ of the last glimmers of hope for free speech ⁤in the world.”
