Dee Dee Sorvino said that politics shouldn’t play a role in AMPAS decisions about whether or not to recognize members from the film industry.
“It should be a meritocracy,” Fox News interviewed her. “It should not be about that. And that is why it’s so upsetting, because nobody can say Paul is a bad actor. Nobody can say he was mediocre. Everybody said Paul was one of the best actors ever and that’s what he should be judged on.”
