GOP invites conservative podcast to host pregame show for primary debate.
The Ruthless Podcast to Host Pregame Show for Republican National Committee
The Republican National Committee has made an exciting move by inviting the popular conservative podcast, The Ruthless Podcast, to host a pregame show ahead of the primary debate in August.
The Ruthless Podcast, hosted by Twitter personality Comfortably Smug, along with former Mitch McConnell chief of staff Josh Holmes, conservative public relations expert Michael Duncan, and John Ashbrook, has an impressive following of 3 million listeners.
In a statement to Axios, RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel expressed her enthusiasm for the special live edition of The Ruthless Podcast in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, before the Aug. 23 primary debate. She said, ”We’re excited to have a special live edition of [Ruthless] in Milwaukee. The fellas have grown a tremendous platform, and we look forward to bringing that influence and attention to Rumble and our first primary debate.”
The news was confirmed by The Ruthless Podcast itself, which tweeted an article and exclaimed, “HUGE NEWS See you in Milwaukee!”
Controversy Surrounding the Primary Debate
The primary debate has not been without its share of controversy as candidates campaign for the GOP nomination. One of the requirements to participate in the debate is a loyalty pledge, where candidates must commit to supporting the eventual nominee. While some candidates have expressed skepticism, most have indicated their willingness to sign the pledge.
Adding to the intrigue, former President Donald Trump, the front-runner in the primary race, has yet to confirm his attendance at the debate. RNC Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel emphasized that not attending the debate would be “a mistake” for Trump.
