GOP lawmaker seeks to censure Adam Schiff again.
Rep. Anna Paulina Luna Introduces New Resolution to Censure Rep. Adam Schiff
On June 16, Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-Fla.) introduced another resolution to censure Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), following the tabling of her initial resolution just days ago.
The new resolution, obtained by The Epoch Times, is privileged and will require a vote on the House floor next week.
The revised resolution closely resembles the original, with one notable change. The new version no longer includes a $16 million fine for Schiff, which would have been imposed by the House Ethics Committee as part of an investigation into his alleged “falsehoods, misrepresentations, and abuses of sensitive information.”
Similar to the previous resolution, the new resolution criticizes Schiff for perpetuating the debunked notion of collusion between former President Donald Trump’s 2016 campaign and Russia. This notion has been discredited by special counsel Robert Mueller in 2019, Department of Justice Inspector General Michael Horowitz in the same year, and special counsel John Durham in May. Notably, the $16 million fine represents half of the taxpayer cost of the Mueller probe.
Unlike its predecessor, the new resolution does not accuse Schiff of using his position and access to sensitive information to initiate a fraudulent investigation for personal political gain and fundraising.
Twenty Republicans Vote with Democrats to Table the Resolution
During the vote, 20 Republicans joined Democrats in tabling the resolution, resulting in a tally of 225-196:

- Young Kim (R-Calif.)
