GOP Senator: Trump’s Social Security Attacks On DeSantis Making It Hard To Talk Reform
Former President Donald Trump’s’s criticisms of Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, according to Senator Bill Cassidy( R-LA ), are making it more difficult to hold a debate about social security.
Republicans have had trouble talking about reforming the entitlement because Cassidy, who appeared on NBC’s’s” Meet the Press,” accused Trump and President Joe Biden of” demagoguing” the issue.
According to Cassidy,” Joe Biden and former President Trump have the same system, which is to do nothing with Social Security and to encourage a 24 % reduction in benefits when the stock becomes bankrupt in about eight or nine years.” It does make things more difficult. It is very difficult when your leading political candidates are now careless when they have chosen to deceive the American consumers and claim there isn’t a problem, when every employee who considers this claims that it is. For President Biden, it is correct. For ex President Trump, it is accurate.
Cassidy promoted his idea to create a joint bank separate from Social Security that may aid in its conservation. Then he slammed social figures from both sides of the aisle once more.
He asserted that” if one hand makes a proposal, the other side may tyrant it.” ” We see Biden demagoguing it immediately, and we see Trump.” With the British men, we need to be honest. However, we do have a big idea that will address 75 % of the issue, and it’s’s actually quite good.
According to FEC information, a super PAC that supports Trump has spent millions of dollars attacking DeSantis in advertisements. According to a filing from Friday, Make America Great Again spent$ 1.5 million to oppose DeSantis with” placed marketing: Video.” While DeSantis was in Congress, the PAC already released two advertisements criticizing him for voting to eliminate Medicare and Social Security. While serving in the House in 2013, 2014, and 2015, it cites votes in favor of raising the retirement age to 70 and lowering some people’s’s results.
One advertisement claims,” The more you learn about DeSantis, the more it becomes clear that he simply doesn’t show our worth.”
Another claims that” DeSantis has his grubby fingers all over top rights, like eliminating Medicare, slashing Social Security, and possibly raising our retreat age.”
