The incident has been referred to the Niagara Falls Police Department as a “traffic investigation.”
The explosion, which occurred on Wednesday morning, resulted in the deaths of two individuals inside the car. Witnesses described the incident as a car flying through the air after hitting a concrete barrier.
The explosion caused Buffalo Niagara International Airport to temporarily close its international flights, and several other bridges connecting the United States and Canada were also closed as a precaution.
Authorities have stated that there is no indication of a terrorist attack, and the investigation is ongoing.
One Customs and Border Patrol officer sustained minor injuries and has since been released from the hospital.

What are the reasons for requesting donations in order to continue the work?
There are several reasons for requesting donations to continue work:
1. Financial sustainability: Donations help maintain the financial stability of an organization or project, especially if it relies on external funding sources. They provide the necessary resources to cover operational costs, salaries, and other expenses.
2. Expand impact: Organizations often require additional funding to expand their reach and impact. Donations allow them to scale up their programs, serve more beneficiaries, and address critical issues on a larger scale.
3. Research and development: Many projects and initiatives require continuous research and development to stay innovative and effective. Donations enable organizations to invest in research, improve their strategies, and push the boundaries of their work.
4. Emergency response and disaster relief: In times of crises or natural disasters, organizations often require immediate funding to provide emergency response and relief efforts. Donations allow them to quickly mobilize resources and support affected communities.
5. Infrastructure and equipment: Some projects may require investments in infrastructure, facilities, or specialized equipment. Donations can help cover these costs, ensuring that the organization has the necessary tools to carry out its work effectively.
6. Advocacy and awareness campaigns: Donations can support advocacy initiatives and awareness campaigns, which are crucial in raising public awareness, influencing policies, and creating social change.
7. Investment in human capital: Organizations may utilize donations to invest in their staff through training, professional development, and capacity building. This helps ensure the organization’s sustainability and enhances its ability to achieve its mission.
8. Long-term planning: Donations provide stability and long-term planning capabilities for organizations. Having a consistent funding stream allows them to strategically plan for the future and implement sustainable programs.
9. Fill gaps in funding: In some cases, organizations may have identified an important area or need that is not being addressed adequately due to lack of funding. Donations can help bridge this funding gap and support projects that might otherwise remain unfunded.
10. Independence and autonomy: By relying on donations, organizations can maintain their independence and autonomy, reducing their dependence on government grants or corporate sponsors. This ensures that their work is driven by their mission and values rather than external influences.
