Former Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell announced his plans to force California election boards to clean up their voter rolls. Grenell detailed the plan ahead of his Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) appearance on Saturday.

He described how he’s taking legal action to get a hold of voter roll data and identify any data that may be outdated. Grenell said this is a response to Democrats in the state demanding people get a ballot whether they’re in the state or not.

Reports last month said a nonpartisan group found the Golden State had nearly two million more registered voters than it did citizens eligible to vote. Additionally, a judge last year refused to purge Georgia voter rolls ahead of a heated runoff election that eventually went to the Democrats.
