Actor Scott Baio Abandons California Over Homelessness Crisis

Scott Baio, best known for his roles as Chachi on Happy Days and Charles on Charles in Charge, has announced that he is leaving California due to the state’s homelessness crisis. In a series of tweets, Baio criticized California’s soft-on-crime policies and stated that the state is “not a safe place anymore.”

Homelessness Crisis in California

Baio shared that in 2022, there were at least 69,000 homeless people in Los Angeles County and 41,000 in the city. He believes that this crisis is bringing down property values and causing rampant crime with no consequences, making things more expensive and unsafe.

Backlash on Social Media

Not everyone on social media was supportive of Baio’s announcement. One commentator tweeted, “You exited from relevancy about 30 years ago, who cares?” Baio fired back with a bold response, “Literally, you just did, s***head!”
