Harmeet Dhillon: Trump Trial Is “Aimed at Terrorizing People Away From Supporting” Him
Former president Donald Trump was charged with 34 counts of first-degree market record falsification by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg on Wednesday, and he was arraigned in New York as a result.
Later that evening, civil right lawyer Harmeet Dhillon defended Trump in a conversation with FOX News’ Tucker Carlson, claiming that the goal of the whole process was to make Democrats defeat Republicans in 2024.
Why did the judge permit monitors to photograph Trump in court? Carlson enquired. What did you make of the statement” That seemed to be aspect of a political system, not one that was legal”? Video cameras were prohibited by the judge, but always photography were permitted inside. This comes after the Trump legal team safely requested that the former president and candidate for president in 2024 not been photographed.
Carlson was informed by Dhillon that they were on the same document. This picture will serve as a property in those campaign ads if the Democratic Party uses this prosecution to sway the results of the upcoming election, she said.
She continued by saying that despite the lack of a gag order, the judge was” effectively chilling” Trump’s speech’s by reprimanding him for using” rhetoric” when discussing the case in public.
According to her analysis, Judge Mercham was telling the district attorney,” You better stay away from an imaginary line that I’m not’m going to draw for you ,” while also not imposing any restrictions at all.
Bragg has the ability to” completely underestimate his vow to do justice and pre-judge that the defendent is already criminal ,” Dhillon cautioned.
She said, implying that the Democratic Party had” mainly turned into a gang of thugs ,”” This entire proceeding seems to be plainly rigged in political way.”
Dhillon bemoaned the fact that” there is no concept of due process.” ” There is no idea of attempting to link the costs to something that you can demonstrate in court that could come up on appeal, not even with a square face.”
Following his trial, Trump addressed a sizable gathering in Mar-a-Lago. According to Dhillon, he ought to have made it clear that” this accusation is really directed at the National people.”
She explained that the purpose of it was to inform everyone that if they could do this to a previous president, they would be able to fabricate false accusations against any American for political reasons, which would constitute personal terrorism.
