The culprit is believed to be Mycoplasma pneumonia, a bacterium known to cause lung infections. The overwhelming number of cases has resulted in long wait times for patients seeking medical attention.
What is particularly concerning is that some cases appear to involve both COVID-19 and the pneumonia strain, while others point to weakened immunity from previous infections. The report suggests a widespread outbreak of an undiagnosed respiratory illness affecting multiple areas in China. Since the relaxation of lockdown measures and screening protocols, China has witnessed sporadic outbreaks of influenza, mycoplasma, and bronchopneumonia. The similarity in symptoms between these diseases and COVID-19 has fueled suspicions of a government cover-up.
