Senate Democrats are accused of playing politics with the Hunter Biden IRS whistleblower, according to a letter sent to the heads of congressional oversight committees. The whistleblower’s attorneys suggest that House Republicans use Section 6103(f)(4) of the Internal Revenue Code to bypass Senate Democrats’ efforts to thwart the IRS whistleblower. The letter from the attorneys of the IRS supervisory special agent states that the Senate Finance Committee leadership has been unwilling to consider a joint interview. The whistleblower’s attorneys suggest that the House Ways and Means Committee designate Senate staffers to participate in the whistleblower’s House-transcribed interview. This would allow the whistleblower to be questioned on a bipartisan and bicameral basis. The whistleblower’s attorneys also invite appropriately designated Senate staff to join and participate in the House hearing. The letter exposes the delays and other disconcerting tactics undertaken by the Democrat-led Senate Finance Committee.
