Chinese Communist Party has infiltrated many countries, says Heritage Foundation President.
The CCP’s Infiltration and America’s Need to Counter It
The Chinese Communist Party (CCP) has infiltrated almost every country in the world, and America needs to counter the “evil” CCP, according to Heritage Foundation president Kevin Roberts in an interview with EpochTV. Roberts emphasized the importance of bringing jobs and manufacturing back to America, particularly military manufacturing, and reinstilling in American businesses a desire not to invest in CCP-owned interests in China and elsewhere.
The Heritage Foundation’s Plan for Countering China
The Heritage Foundation has a report titled “Winning the New Cold War: A Plan for Countering China.” The report advises ending all CCP lobbying in the U.S. and banning risky Chinese apps. The report also recommends a crackdown on illicit CCP police stations and calls it “outrageous” that any American citizen would take money from a CCP-interest. The CCP funds American businesses, universities, and politicians, and Roberts cited CCP investment in the U.S. military industry.
America’s Ignorance of CCP Crimes
America has spent too long ignoring CCP crimes and working with the People’s Republic of China (PRC), according to the Heritage report. Multiple administrations pursued closer engagement with the PRC, assuming they could guide China on a path to greater economic openness and political freedom. However, under Chinese dictator Xi Jinping, the PRC has grown more repressive at home and more aggressive abroad. Roberts also slammed the American “deep state.”
The Need for American Entrepreneurs to Prioritize America First
Ultimately, many sections of U.S. society and government have to come together to defeat the CCP, according to Roberts. Passing legislation alone will not be enough. American entrepreneurs need to prioritize the United States first, American workers first, and the future of American freedom first before their bottom line. The CCP has infiltrated major research universities, and Roberts stressed the importance of not allowing them to continue to do so.
