Hezbollah drone shattered Netanyahu’s bedroom window

The bedroom window of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s home was hit and shattered by a Hezbollah drone over the weekend.

Hezbollah launched the drone from Lebanon, evading Israel’s air defense systems, and hit the window of Netanyahu’s bedroom in the Caesarea area. A photo released by the Israelis shows damage to the window. Both Netanyahu and his wife were not home at the time.

A Hezbollah drone hitting Netanyahu’s bedroom window represents both a massive failure of the Israeli air defense systems and demonstrates the extent of Hezbollah’s capabilities.

The prime minister described the incident as an assassination attempt against him.

“The attempt by Iran’s proxy Hezbollah to assassinate me and my wife today was a grave mistake. This will not deter me or the State of Israel from continuing our just war against our enemies in order to secure our future,” Netanyahu said. “I say to Iran and its proxies in its axis of evil: Anyone who tries to harm Israel’s citizens will pay a heavy price.”

Hezbollah Spokesman Mohammed Afif declared on Tuesday the group’s “full, complete and exclusive responsibility for the Caesarea operation targeting … Netanyahu,” according to Al Arabiya.

Israeli leaders have rarely been targeted over the course of its year of conflict against both Hamas in Gaza and Hezbollah in Lebanon. Israeli forces have killed several Hamas and Hezbollah leaders, including the senior leaders of both groups, Yahya Sinwar and Hassan Nasrallah.

U.S. AIR DEFENSES ARE FULL OF HOLES FOR CHINESE DRONES TO EXPLOIT

Drones have repeatedly been shown to be a weakness in Israel’s air defenses.

Earlier this month, another Hezbollah drone hit the dining hall of the IDF Golani Brigade Training Base near Binyamina, killing four troops and severely injuring seven others. Two other Israeli soldiers were killed in a drone attack that was launched from Iraq less than two weeks before that.
