Chief of Department Jeffry Maddrey resigned his position after claims from Lt. Quathisha Epps surfaced that Maddrey routinely solicited sexual favors from her at NYPD headquarters in exchange for overtime.

“He was always asking me to kiss his penis,” Epps told the New York Post in an exclusive interview, adding that Maddrey, “wanted to have anal sex, vaginal sex, oral sex.”

Epps, 51, earned more than $400,000 in 2023 and filed for retirement earlier this week. She was reportedly suspended amid an internal affairs probe into her overtime hours to the tune of roughly $204,000.

Epps alleges that Maddrey’s sexual demands did not start until June 2023 and described in her interview with the New York Post in detail the first time her superior officer assaulted her on the 13th floor of One Police Plaza.

NYPD did not immediately respond to the Washington Examiner’s request for comment on the developments, but a spokesperson confirmed for the New York Post that current Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch accepted Maddrey’s resignation effective immediately. 

“The NYPD takes all allegations of sexual misconduct seriously, and will thoroughly investigate this matter,” said the NYPD spokesperson.

Tisch was appointed commissioner last month, making her the fourth person to take up the job in the last three years.

Maddrey, a friend of New York City Mayor Eric Adams, was previously accused of sexual misconduct in 2016 by former Police Officer Tabitha Foster. 

Foster claimed in an unsuccessful civil lawsuit that Maddrey took advantage of her by exchanging professional benefits for sexual favors. Foster also accused him of being violent with her, but a judge dismissed the case.
