Clinton’s response was ‍triggered by a series of headlines compiled by ‌the left-wing​ think ‌tank Center for American Progress. These headlines included “Earth just‍ had the hottest June on record” ⁣and “July 4 was Earth’s hottest day in over 100,000 years.” ⁣These alarming reports coincided with record-breaking temperatures in several ⁣U.S. cities. While some attributed the heatwave​ to climate change, meteorologist Ryan Maue argued that ​it was not ‍unprecedented.

MAGA Republicans and Clean Energy Investments

The Center for American Progress’s ​tweet also criticized Republicans for voting against clean ⁣energy investments advocated by President Joe Biden. “Every MAGA Republican in Congress⁢ voted NO,” the tweet read.
