Hollywood actor blames media for poor perception of Trump ahead of election – Washington Examiner
Hollywood actor Robert Davi has criticized the mainstream left-liberal media for what he perceives as a deliberate attempt to misrepresent Donald Trump ahead of his presidential campaigns. Reflecting on the recent election outcomes, Davi expressed satisfaction with Trump’s victory, despite numerous celebrity endorsements for Trump’s opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, which had little effect. He argued that the media has consistently lied about Trump since he entered the political arena in 2015 and called for accountability for these misrepresentations, emphasizing that the issue begins with how the media operates.

Actor Robert Davi blasted the legacy left-liberal media for attempting to lie about Donald Trump ahead of his presidential campaigns.
Davi was one of the few celebrities happy with the results of the Nov. 5 election. Trump’s opponent Vice President Kamala Harris garnered dozens of celebrity endorsements that fell on deaf ears, resulting in Trump winning the Electoral College and the popular vote. In retrospect, Davi blasted the left-liberal media for falsely reporting on the then-presidential candidate.
WHAT HAPPENS NOW THAT TRUMP IS PRESIDENT-ELECT
“The media has lied about Donald Trump since the inception in 2015 when he first stepped into the ring and it’s stuck for some reason,” Davi said. “I don’t know how we fix this Hollywood thing. It starts with the media, it starts with holding the lying accountable, including our government.”
According to Davi, the country might benefit from a calumny clause, a law from ancient Roman times that punished false accusations. The U.S. system allows for civilians to sue for libel in civil court, but defamation is typically reserved for private citizens, as defamatory comments about public citizens are considered part of the territory for fame.
Meanwhile, major news outlets opted to not endorse either candidate ahead of the election. Harris missed out on endorsements from the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times, from her home state of California. Those papers had endorsed Democratic candidates in previous elections.
Since his roles in Die Hard and Licence to Kill among others, Davi became a staunch Trump supporter. He claimed to receive texts congratulating the win on Election Night.
