House Democrat organizes ‘Replace Sinema’ event amid stagnant fundraising figures.
Rep. Dan Goldman to Headline Fundraising Event Targeting Sen. Kyrsten Sinema
Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) is set to take center stage at an exciting fundraising event aimed at ousting Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (D-AZ) from office. Despite Sinema not yet announcing her plans for reelection, this event will mark the official relaunch of the Replace Sinema PAC’s efforts to support their chosen candidate for the 2024 Senate seat: Rep. Ruben Gallego.
Goldman joins a distinguished group of endorsers for Gallego’s campaign, including former Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Reps. Raul Grijalva (D-AZ) and Seth Moulton (D-MA). Together, they are determined to propel Gallego to victory.
Biden Takes Bold Action on Key Issues
This fundraising event comes on the heels of Gallego’s impressive fundraising performance, surpassing Sinema for the second consecutive quarter with a remarkable $3.1 million raised in the second quarter alone. While Sinema currently holds a substantial war chest of $10.8 million, nearly triple that of Gallego, his momentum cannot be ignored.
Gallego wasted no time, launching his Senate bid in January, just a month after Sinema’s departure from the Democratic Party. Since then, he has gained significant traction, dominating both polling and fundraising efforts.
As for Sinema, her plans for reelection remain uncertain. However, if she does choose to run, it would set the stage for a high-profile three-way race in this crucial swing seat, likely making it one of the most expensive contests of the 2024 cycle.

Currently, only one Republican candidate, Pinal County Sheriff Mark Lamb, has entered the race, reporting a fundraising haul of $608,000 in the last quarter. All eyes are also on Kari Lake, the unsuccessful gubernatorial candidate in 2022, to see if she decides to join the race.
The Arizona Senate race is anticipated to be one of the most fiercely competitive elections of the 2024 cycle. It is one of only three races rated as a toss-up by the nonpartisan Cook Political Report.
