FBI Director Over Agency Targeting Catholics is subpoenaled by the House Weaponization Committee.
Common Catholics can be counted among the parents who are worried about being targeted by the FBI as private extremists.
The FBI’s’s target of Catholics as” white racists” that call for inspection was the subject of a summons from the House Select Committee on the Weaponization of the Federal Government on Monday. Previous Special Agent Kyle Seraphin alerted the FBI’s’s Richmond, Virginia, field work to Catholic churches infiltration in February.
Seraphin wrote,” The FBI’s’s Richmond Division would like to defend Virginians from the threat of” white supremacy ,” which it believes has found a home among Catholics who prefer the Latin Mass.”
Documents titled” Racially or Ethnically Motivated Violent Extremists( RMVE ) and their interests in’ Radical – Traditionalist Catholics’ or RTCs” were leaked by Seraphin on January 23, 2023.
According to Seraphin, the information” asses with” high courage” that the FBI can lessen the threat posed by Radical-Traditionary Catholics by enlisting resources from the Catholic Church.”
The letter was rescinded by the FBI after news of the public’s’s identification spread. Years later, the FBI chairman was questioned by House Republicans Mike Johnson of Louisiana and Jim Jordan of Ohio, who are in charge of the Judiciary Committee and the Subcommittee on the Constitution and Limited Government, respectively.
FBI retracts a memo labeling traditional Catholics as violent white supremacists and” pushing invasion of Christian areas.”
Legislators wrote in a letter dated February 16 that” the FBI withdrew the information and blamed the national level field practice for its creation and dissemination in response to the backlash against the FBI’s’s anti-Catholic information.” The origin, evaluation, and endorsement of this information, as well as the FBI’s’s dedication to upholding First Amendment protected exercise, are all still up for debate.
The FBI’s’s lack of response prompted lawmakers to take a follow-up text on March 20. Jordan described the FBI’s’s 18-page response to the House chairmen three days later as” partial” and” substandard” in his subpoena cover letter from Monday.
According to Jordan,” The scant information that was given to the Committee makes obvious that we must have all responsive content without redactions.” ” From this selective production, we know that the FBI sought to use local religious organizations as” new avenues for tripwire and source development ,” relying on information derived from at least one undercover employee.
Despite the leading U. S. word and law enforcement agency’s’s targeting of devout Catholics, American priests remained silent.
According to Evita Duffy-Alfonso of The Federalist, the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops has a budget of more than$ 200 million for 2018, the majority of which comes from federal grants and contracts. In the seven days following the malicious hole, what has the Catholic Church order had to state? Everything.

Duffy-Alfonso continued,” The Federalist actually contacted the U.S. Catholic Conference of Bishops to request comment on the unlawful targeting of stupid and pious Catholics, but always received a response.”
Bishop Barry Knestout seemed to be the only American priest to address the issue a week after the whistleblower report was released.
