The Texas Department of Public Safety has determined that the smuggler is solely responsible for the tragic deaths, as they were actively fleeing from law enforcement. The two deceased Americans hailed from Georgia, while the immigrants were from Honduras and the smuggler was from Houston, Texas.
However, the true tragedy lies in the fact that these innocent American lives could have been spared. The ongoing refusal of President Joe Biden, the Biden administration, Democrats, and other advocates of illegal immigration to address the border crisis has contributed to this senseless loss of life.
It is not only the smuggler and the cartels who bear responsibility, but also those who have failed to take action to halt the influx of illegal immigrants into our country. By turning a blind eye, our government has become complicit in perpetuating this horrific trade.

According to The New York Post, this staggering number represents the influx of illegal immigrants since 2021, with nearly half of them evading capture.
And the numbers continue to rise. Referred to as “gotaways,” the U.S. Border Patrol reported approximately 530,000 individuals who successfully evaded capture as of May 2023. This surpasses the total of 600,000 in 2022 and the 389,000 in 2021.
If you believe that these illegal immigrants will emerge from hiding anytime soon, you are mistaken. They will remain hidden, draining our nation’s resources and wreaking havoc on American citizens, all while facing minimal consequences.
