Hunter Biden arrives for deposition in defamation case involving laptop repair shop owner.

Hunter Biden Arrives at Court for Deposition in Defamation Lawsuit

Hunter Biden made his way to court on Thursday morning for a highly anticipated deposition in the defamation lawsuit brought against him by the owner of a computer repair shop. This lawsuit stems from an incident where Biden dropped off his laptop at the shop but failed to retrieve it after repairs were completed.

The plaintiff, John Paul Mac Isaac, filed the lawsuit back in 2019, and in response, Biden countersued Mac Isaac and others, claiming that his private information was improperly retained and disseminated without his consent.

The laptop in question has become a focal point of controversy, drawing intense scrutiny and triggering multiple investigations by congressional Republicans. In fact, a report from the New York Post in October 2020 revealed that the laptop’s contents were being censored by major social media platforms and falsely portrayed as Russian disinformation.

This deposition comes on the heels of the recent announcement that Biden would be entering a plea deal in relation to two charges related to his failure to pay federal income tax.
