Hunter Biden was back at the White House on Wednesday as his father is in the fight for his political life.

President Joe Biden is embarking on convincing Democratic lawmakers, donors, and voters that he should be kept atop the 2024 Democratic ticket despite his dismal performance in the first presidential debate against former President Donald Trump.

The younger Biden, now a convicted felon following his June firearms trial in Delaware, was photographed among the attendees at a ceremony posthumously awarding the Medal of Honor to a number of Union soldiers.

Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, was back at the White House on Wednesday for a ceremony posthumously awarding the Medal of Honor to a number of Union soldiers.

Hunter Biden, who is not employed by the White House, made some headlines earlier this week after it was reported that he joined Joe Biden for some meetings on Monday and Tuesday and has been one of the strongest voices from within the Biden family urging his father to stay in the race.

Hunter Biden’s presence among senior White House officials in closed meetings with the president raised some feathers among administration staff, with some reportedly asking, “What the hell is happening?”

His frequency at the White House prompted House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Turner (R-OH) to send a letter Wednesday to Biden’s chief of staff on what, if any, classified information was discussed in meetings with the president that were attended by his son.

In a letter to Jeff Zients, Turner said, “it is disturbing to learn these events are transpiring in the West Wing.” Turner asked the White House for an “immediate response” on whether “classified information is being disclosed” in meetings involving Hunter Biden.

Pressed on why the president’s son attended those meetings on Tuesday, White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre provided few details.

“Hunter came back with him and walked with him into that meeting, that prep, that speech prep, and, you know, and he ended up spending time with his dad and his family that night,” she told reporters during Tuesday’s White House press briefing. “That is basically what happened.”
