Hunter Biden’s legal issues haunt the White House: Washington’s Week in Photos.
Hunter Biden’s Plea Deal Collapses Under Scrutiny
Hunter Biden’s expected plea deal collapsed in court this week, sending shockwaves through the White House. The “curveball” development has put the administration on the defensive.
White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made it clear that President Joe Biden has no intention of pardoning his son, who is facing charges related to tax evasion and lying on a gun form. However, the denial about the president’s involvement with Hunter Biden’s affairs has been tweaked in light of new testimony from IRS whistleblowers and allegations from an FBI informant.
Previously, Joe Biden claimed that he had never spoken to Hunter Biden about foreign business deals. However, Jean-Pierre declined to repeat that line, stating that “the president was never in business with his son.”
Joe Biden Welcomes Seventh Grandchild
In other news, Joe Biden publicly acknowledged his seventh grandchild for the first time. The 4-year-old girl, named Navy Joan Roberts, is the daughter of Hunter Biden and an ex-stripper. The paternity and child support dispute was recently settled in Arkansas.
In a statement, the elder Biden expressed his desire for the well-being of all his grandchildren, including Navy. “Jill and I only want what is best for all of our grandchildren,” he said.
