Hunter Biden Sues Laptop Repair Shop Owner Over Alleged Invasion of Privacy

On March 17, President Joe Biden’s child sued a laptop repairman who allegedly invaded his privacy.

Hunter Biden sued John Paul Mac Isaac. John Paul Mac Isaac owned a Delaware computer shop where Hunter Biden was rumored to have dropped his computer off years ago.

According to a 42-page document, Mac Isaac’s sharing information from Hunter Biden is an invasion of privacy.

“No matter how they came into his initial possession, Mac Isaac improperly accessed files that he admits were ‘none of [his] business’ even though he was never given permission by Mr. Biden to access or review any data of Mr. Biden’s,” It says. Later, he made copies of the data for others and distributed them to Rudy Giuliani, former President Donald Trump’s attorney.

“Mac Isaac’s knowing and intentional distribution of Mr. Biden’s personal and sensitive data was not carried out for any reasonable or legitimate purposes, but rather to try and expose Mr. Biden’s data to those that he knew or should have known would intend to create embarrassment and harm for Mr. Biden,” The countersuit states.

“In addition, Mac Isaac decided to use the data in his possession for commercial purposes and to make money, which he has done by including portions of the data in his book and making reference to and/or making some or all of the data available at appearances he has made.”

The U.S. District Court for the District of Delaware filed the filing asking for a jury trial.

The lawyer for Mac Isaac did not respond to our requests for comment.

Original Suit

Mac Isaac sued Hunter Biden, Rep. Adam Schiff of California (D) and news organizations for defamation in 2022.

Mac Isaac claimed he was made defamatory statements about himself and his handling of a computer that he claims was dropped off at Hunter Biden.

Hunter Biden, according to the suit was guilty of defamation after he said it in a televised Interview: “There could be a laptop out there that was stolen from me. It could be that I was hacked. It could be that it was the—that it was Russian intelligence. It could be that it was stolen from me. Or that there was a laptop stolen from me.”

This filing also includes an email sent by Hunter Biden’s lawyer George Mesires, to Mac Isaac’s repair shop. “Thank you for speaking with me tonight. As I indicated, I am a lawyer for Hunter Biden and I appreciate you reviewing your records on this matter,” Mesires wrote.

“Hunter knew it was his laptop,” The suit states.

After Mac Isaac received an apology from Daily Beast and corrected some of its claims, he removed the Daily Beast case.

Hunter Biden Response

Hunter Biden admitted Mesires to being his lawyer. He stated in the new file that Mesires was his attorney. “without knowledge sufficient to admit or deny the allegations” Although he acknowledged that the computer belonged to him, he denied knowing or knowingly giving defamatory information.

According to Mac Isaac’s court filing, Hunter Biden asked for a quote to recover data from three MacBook computers. Mac Isaac recovered and notified Hunter Biden. He also sent an invoice. Hunter Biden, however, was not so kind. “never returned” According to the suit, he did not pay the invoice nor went to the shop to retrieve data.

Hunter Biden’s legal counsel confirm that Mac Isaac was in possession of Hunter Biden material.

“This is not an admission by Mr. Biden that Mac Isaac (or others) in fact possessed any particular laptop containing electronically stored data belonging to Mr. Biden. Rather, Mr. Biden simply acknowledges that at some point, Mac Isaac obtained electronically stored data, some of which belonged to Mr. Biden,” The new countersuit states.

They also noted that Mac Isaac initially stated that he didn’t have a clear view of the person who dropped off his computer, but later claimed that he had. “100 percent sure” It was Hunter Biden.
