Morgan Wallen shares bad news with fans about tour: ‘I hate it.’

Country Star Morgan Wallen Postpones Tour Due to Vocal Cord Injury

Country music fans were left heartbroken on Tuesday when Morgan Wallen announced that his highly anticipated “One Night At A Time” tour is postponed. The 29-year-old singer took to Instagram to share the news in a lengthy video, revealing that he has been advised by doctors to stop talking and singing for the next six weeks to allow his damaged vocal cords to heal.

A Difficult Decision for the Rising Star

Wallen shared that he received the bad news from his doctors at the Vanderbilt voice center after performing three shows in Florida last weekend. Despite taking ten days of vocal rest, the rising star felt terrible by the third show and decided to seek medical attention. The doctors informed him that he had reinjured his vocal cords and had vocal fold trauma.

Although the doctors advised him not to talk at all, they said it was okay for something like this. However, they warned him that if he continued to sing, he would permanently damage his voice, jeopardizing his musical career.

“For the longevity of my career, this is just the choice I had to make. I hate it, but I love you guys. And I appreciate all the support…I’ll see you soon, and I’ll be back better than ever,” Wallen said in the video.

Rest and Recovery for the Talented Musician

This is not the first time Wallen has had to postpone shows due to vocal cord problems. In April, he postponed several shows when the issue first started. He rested and then announced last Thursday that he was set to take the stage for performances in Florida. However, he noted that he was not one hundred percent back to normal.

Wallen also revealed that he would not be performing at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Thursday due to the doctor-ordered rest.

Support from Fans and the Music Industry

Despite the disappointment, fans have been showing their support for Wallen on social media, wishing him a speedy recovery. The music industry has also rallied around the talented musician, with fellow country stars sending messages of support and encouragement.

  • Carrie Underwood: “Sending good vibes to @morganwallen for a speedy recovery!”
  • Jason Aldean: “Get well soon buddy. We need you back out there.”
  • Thomas Rhett: “Praying for you brother. Rest up and come back stronger than ever.”

Wallen’s fans and the music industry are eagerly awaiting his return to the stage, and we have no doubt that he will come back better than ever.
