Idaho School District Bans LGBT Politics in Classrooms
An Idaho school district takes a stand against left-wing sexual ideology infiltrating classrooms. In a recent vote, the Nampa School District decided to ban discussions on gender identity, transgenderism, and sexual orientation in their classrooms.
This move comes amidst a national debate between parents and educators over the introduction of homosexual and transgender politics in schools.
The new policy, which passed after a second reading, applies to all grade levels. It places the responsibility of discussing and educating children about gender identity and related subjects in the hands of parents, rather than the schools or its staff.

Board members voted 3-1 in favor of the ban, recognizing the rights of parents to address non-academic subjects with their children. The Nampa School District aims to create a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
The policy also ensures that school staff are not obligated to use a student’s preferred pronouns, respecting individual beliefs and preferences.
Opponents of the ban draw comparisons to Florida’s “Don’t Say Gay” law, which similarly prohibits classroom instruction on sexual orientation and gender identity.
One board member, Brooke Taylor, expressed her concerns, stating, “I don’t want you to discuss my child’s sexuality unless I know we are on the same page.”
Mindy Oldenkamp, a Nampa resident, emphasized the importance of discussing gender and orientation topics in schools, as it contributes to creating a safe environment for all students. She also highlighted the potential impact on suicide rates, which are higher among the gay and transgender demographics.
Mandy Simpson, a math teacher and trustee in the district, voted against the policy, citing the potential discomfort it may cause students and its potential impact on the quality of education.
“If kids don’t feel safe in a classroom, they will not even begin to try to learn,” Simpson explained.
