An Israeli Soldier⁤ Rescued from Hamas Captivity

An Israeli soldier has returned home after being⁤ rescued during ‌the Israeli army’s ground operation in Gaza.

On Monday⁣ evening, security forces announced that an IDF soldier who had been kidnapped during the October ⁣7th Hamas terrorist attack had been happily reunited with her‍ family.

Pvt. ​Ori Megidish was reportedly taken hostage over three weeks ago.

At the ‍time, she was at the Nahal Oz base as an ⁣observation solider when terrorists caught her. However, not many details were given about the overnight ground⁣ operation, in order to prevent harm ‍in future operations.

She​ was believed to have been alone⁣ when ‍Israeli soldiers rescued ‍her.

Megidish has undergone medical checks and according to the IDF she is ​said to be “doing well.”

“The soldier was medically examined, her condition is good and she met with her family,” the IDF said in ⁢a⁤ statement. “The IDF and Shin Bet will continue to make every effort to bring about the release of the abductees.”

An influx of videos were shared to ⁤social media showing‍ Megidish reuniting with her family.

239 hostages were taken from Israel, including 33 children. Netanyahu asserted that ⁣the Jewish State will not rest ⁣until all of⁢ the hostages are released. He⁤ also maintained that there would be no ‍ceasefire.
