Bud Light must recover in 2 months or vanish from stores, says ex-sales exec.

Bud Light Must Act Fast to Win Back Customers, Says Former Executive

“Anheuser-Bush needs to figure out a strategy, it needs to make a statement about who their customers are and who they’re going to serve now, and try and regain those customers now in June and July, because by time it’s August, September, it’s too late.”

– Anson Frericks, Former President of Sales and Distribution at AB InBev

Bud Light, once America’s most popular beer brand, is facing a crisis. According to former AB InBev executive Anson Frericks, the brand must act fast to win back customers or risk permanent market share losses.

In an interview with the Daily Mail, Frericks voiced concerns about Bud Light’s future, citing the ongoing boycott of the brand and its decision to partner with transgender social media influencer Dylan Mulvaney as potential factors that could lead to a diminished presence on store shelves.

As retailers prepare to reallocate limited shelf spaces in September, Frericks warns that Bud Light could be pulled in larger quantities in favor of rival brands like Coors Light and Yuengling, which might offer retailers a better shot at boosting beer sales.

Modelo Especial Poised to Surpass Bud Light as America’s Favorite Beer

Recent data indicates that the Mexican beer Modelo Especial, also owned by AB InBev, is on track to surpass Bud Light as America’s favorite beer this year. While Modelo is succeeding at the expense of Bud Light, the company that owns both brands still finds itself struggling.

As of last week, AB InBev had lost $27 billion in market value, according to the New York Post. Despite these losses, Bud Light has not offered a public strategy to win back former consumers and has chosen to ignore the controversy as losses mount.

If Bud Light fails to win back customers within the next few months, it risks disappearing from store shelves as retailers turn to rival brands with more inventory and better product placement.

The Clock is Ticking for Bud Light

Frericks says the clock is ticking for Bud Light to bring back customers and develop an effective strategy. “Anheuser-Bush needs to figure out a strategy, it needs to make a statement about who their customers are and who they’re going to serve now, and try and regain those customers now in June and July, because by time it’s August, September, it’s too late,” he warns.

Bud Light must act fast to win back customers and regain its position as America’s favorite beer brand, or risk being left behind by its competitors.
