Mentally ill individual avoids conviction for beheading girlfriend as an illegal alien.

A ⁢Shocking Case: ‌Cuban Illegal Alien Found‌ Not Guilty⁢ of Beheading Girlfriend Due to⁢ Mental Illness

In a horrifying incident that took place in Shakopee, ⁤Minnesota, ⁤a Cuban illegal alien has been acquitted of the brutal beheading of⁤ his girlfriend. The shocking verdict was reached on the grounds of the perpetrator’s mental⁣ illness.

Alexis Saborit,⁣ a 44-year-old who arrived⁣ in the U.S. ⁤in 2007, had a history of violating⁣ a protective order in Louisiana back in ‍2013, as stated in court documents.

The gruesome crime occurred in 2021 when Saborit was charged with first-degree murder for beheading his 55-year-old girlfriend, America ⁢Mafalda Thayer. Witnesses reported seeing Saborit dragging Thayer‍ out of a car by her hair ⁢before carrying out the horrific act.

Upon arriving at the ‍scene, the police discovered Thayer’s lifeless body with her head lying next to ⁢her. It was‌ revealed that Thayer ⁣had‍ been planning ‍to leave Saborit, which ultimately triggered his violent response.

Initially, Saborit had been found guilty of second-degree murder in May. However, last week, medical experts determined that his‌ mental illness prevented ⁤him ‌from comprehending the moral wrongness of his actions. Judge Caroline Lennon ⁤concurred with their assessment, leading to a reversal of the previous ruling.

According to Lennon’s ruling, Saborit ⁢not only⁤ crushed Thayer’s skull with a dumbbell ‍but also proceeded to⁣ behead ⁢her using a machete.‍ In court documents, Saborit made ‌disturbing claims, including being raped by Thayer or her⁢ involvement in facilitating his rape. He also alleged that medical professionals had removed‌ his eyes to implant microchips in his brain.

Furthermore, Saborit confessed⁢ to starting a fire in his own apartment due to hearing voices, which led him to barricade himself inside. Eventually, he jumped out of his second-floor window.

Based on documented evidence, Saborit ⁤was diagnosed with several severe mental disorders, including Unspecified Depressive Disorder, Unspecified Schizophrenia Spectrum, Psychotic Disorder, Maniac Psychosis, and Delusional Disorder.

While in jail, ⁣Saborit displayed signs of psychosis, paranoia, and delusions, leading to concerns about his‍ well-being. He would often suspect that his food was⁢ tainted or poisoned, resulting⁣ in him rinsing it in water or skipping meals altogether, leading to hospitalization.

As a result of these disturbing revelations, Judge Lennon made‍ the controversial decision ⁢to‌ acquit Saborit ‌due to his mental illness.

The verdict has left the victim’s family devastated and questioning the⁢ state of society. Charles Thayer, America Thayer’s son, expressed ‌his desire for closure, stating, “I just want this to be ⁢over with, for myself and my family.”
