Police in Joliet, Illinois, are on the hunt for a dangerous suspect after a horrifying incident left multiple people dead in two homes.
The authorities have identified the suspect as Romeo Nance, 23, and have labeled him as “armed and dangerous.”
According to reports, Nance is believed to be driving a Red Toyota Camry with an Illinois license plate that reads “Q730412.”
“At this moment, Detectives and Officers are conducting an active homicide investigation after Officers located multiple deceased individuals who had sustained gunshot wounds in two homes in the 2200 block of West Acres Road,” the Joliet Police Department wrote.
The investigation was launched at 3 p.m. on Monday after the discovery of multiple deceased individuals in two homes on West Acres Road.
Authorities have not yet released the exact number of victims or their identities.
Prior arrest records of Nance indicate his involvement in a previous incident near the crime scene. However, he was out on Bond awaiting trial.
The Joliet Police Department is urging anyone with information to contact them or call 9-1-1 immediately.
