‘I’m So Glad He’s Dead’: Geraldo Rivera Lays Into School Shooter, Says ‘This Is Sandy Hook Again’
Geraldo Rivera lashed out at the gunman who left at least 15 dead at a Uvalde, Texas, elementary school on Tuesday.
Rivera joined his co-hosts on Fox News panel show “The Five” to discuss the still-developing story, and he compared the tragic turn of events at Robb Elementary School to the equally shocking shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut, nearly a decade ago.

After a brief update from reporters, the discussion went to the panel — and co-host Greg Gutfeld noted that there still was not a lot of information being released about the details of the shooting beyond the number of dead and injured.
“That is true, however, if it is indeed confirmed he killed the grandmother first, so there is some family beef going on,” Rivera began. “The level — to go to Kellyanne’s point — the level of spite that it would take for someone with a weapon, a rifle and a handgun, to go into the most vulnerable population on earth, these little children who are defenseless, essentially, and to commit this kind of slaughter, it speaks to a cold-blooded, horrific, disgusting person who has no regard — isn’t — to call them a narcissist is to understate the self-centered rage and disgusting horror that this man would perpetrate and take children away from their parents for what?”
“There’s no possible justification. This son of a b*** — I’m so glad he’s dead,” Rivera continued. “This — this is beyond the pale. This is Sandy Hook again.”
“We know from the reporting that he went out firing,” co-host Jesse Watters added. “He had to be taken out by local officials there and did not take his own life, we believe he was killed by law enforcement, judge.”
Watters then turned the question over to Judge Jeanine Pirro, who minced no words in her reaction to the situation.
“If he was killed by law enforcement, obviously it’s an appropriate, legitimate ending. And you know, I’m not going to call him a narcissist, I’m going to call him an animal,” she said decisively. “Anyone who kills children, that many children, in one fell swoop is an animal, I don’t care.”
“I agree,” Rivera said.
