Impeached to ‘transformational,’ Trump compared to Reagan and FDR
For many, the moment President-elect Donald Trump flexed his pre-presidential power was when he entered Madison Square Garden in late November to attend the Ultimate Fighting Championship trailed by Elon Musk, House Speaker Mike Johnson, and his newly picked Cabinet as Kid Rock’s “American Bad Ass” played.
For others, the moment they realized Trump was already acting president was this week’s ceasefire deal between Israel and Hamas and the State Department’s conclusion that the Republican’s involvement was critical to sealing the agreement.
WHAT TRUMP HAS PROMISED TO DO ON DAY 1 IN THE OVAL OFFICE
“Trump has been the most effective and impactful president-elect our nation has had in modern history,” said Ron Bonjean, a top Washington communications adviser.
“The world at home and abroad is conforming around his leadership style and positioning themselves for a stronger, much more aggressive presence at the White House,” added Bonjean, co-founder of the bipartisan communications shop Rokk Solutions.
Unlike past incoming presidents, Trump not only knows what he wants to do, he knows how to get his agenda done because he already had one term sitting in the Oval Office.
Bottom line: without Trump winning and being absolutely clear in his “hell to pay” rhetoric, there would be no hostage deal today between Israel & Hamas. Thank God we are getting our people back. Elections have consequences. My comments on @cnn. pic.twitter.com/6KPol85bpx

Former spokesman Sean Spicer said that has been critical in building the aura around Trump and expectations of a fast start.
“He and his team have the people, process and policies ready to go on day one unlike any previous president and the result will likely be the most consequential four years of any modern president,” he told Secrets.
TRUMP’S BUDGET CHIEF SHOWS ‘TOTAL’ COMMITMENT TO SHRINKING GOVERNMENT
Trump’s friend Chris Ruddy, the chief of Newsmax, said knowing what to do and having four years to prepare for a second try means that the 47th president will be on his game from the first hours after his noon Monday swearing-in.
“Usually, a second-term president is a lame duck from day one. But not Donald Trump who will wield power decisively every minute he is in the Oval,” he said.
His pre-presidency has been extremely eventful, from picking 1,000 aides, including his Cabinet, to cutting deals with world and Wall Street leaders. That has given Trump even more influence and power to carry into the White House.
“There is a difference between a threat and a credible threat,” said Richard Grenell, Trump’s choice to be his special missions envoy tasked to handle America’s toughest foreign policy challenges. “Donald Trump is a credible threat,” said Grenell.
Trump transition insiders and allies pointed to these pre-presidency highlights that have him looking like he’s already replaced President Joe Biden:
- Sealing the Israel-Hamas ceasefire.
- Getting Mexico and Canada to curb illegal immigration into the U.S.
- Ending the longshoremen strike threat.
- Talking with Chinese President Xi Jinping about TikTok and world peace.
- Helping House Speaker Mike Johnson secure his post.
- Creating a Department of Government Efficiency.
- Winning the support of high-tech foes and teaming with Elon Musk, Mark Zuckerberg, and Jeff Bezos.
- Forcing the $15 million settlement from ABC News that will fund his presidential library.
- Ending the legal cases against him and getting chief prosecutor Jack Smith to resign.
“Although Donald Trump is still the president-elect, it’s not too early to bet that he, like Ronald Reagan, will be considered a ‘transformational’ president. His reshaping of the Republican Party, historic comeback, and success in reversing wrong-headed Leftist policies ruining the country are already notable,” said John Heubusch, the former executive director of the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute.

Reagan biographer Craig Shirley agreed, and called Trump “as strong as Reagan in 1980 and as strong as FDR in 1932. Why? Because a country in trouble demands strong and decisive leadership.”
Shirley has been close to the Trump team for the past year to write a new biography on Trump and his comeback from his 2020 loss and two impeachments. He said that Trump’s influence is already impacting everywhere Americans turn.
“Trump’s fierceness of conviction is also changing the culture; DEI programs are being dropped everywhere, the liberal lies of California are being exposed as the state burns, MSNBC’s ratings are tanking, Newsmax’s ratings are soaring, and the Washington Post‘s subscriptions are throwing the paper on the ash heap of history as several examples of the changing culture,” he told us.
And pollsters on both sides said Trump is backed by voters in his pre-election efforts.
Democratic pollster John Zogby said that Trump has a ruling “mandate” from the 2024 election.

And Republican pollster John McLaughlin agrees. “Public opinion is strongly behind President Trump because of the big mess Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris are leaving him,” McLaughlin said.
“Joe Biden’s corruption makes [former President] Warren Harding look like Mother Teresa. President Trump has his best job ratings ever, precisely because of the mess from Joe Biden he has to clean up. It will take strength and time,” he added.
