‘Highly Irresponsible:’ Karine Jean-Pierre’s Sharp Response to Cocaine Question in White House

White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre Snaps at Reporter Over Cocaine Question

During a press briefing at the White House, Karine Jean-Pierre, the White House Press Secretary, responded sharply to a reporter’s question about a bag of cocaine found on the premises.

The reporter, Caitlin Doornbos from the New York Post, asked Jean-Pierre if the cocaine belonged to the Biden family. In response, Jean-Pierre firmly stated that the White House had already addressed that question.

She emphasized that the White House was not avoiding the question and had extensively discussed it over the past two days. Jean-Pierre then proceeded to call out the reporter, asserting that the Biden family was not present at the White House when the cocaine bag was discovered by the Secret Service near the West Wing entrance.

Jean-Pierre expressed frustration with what she deemed as irresponsible reporting about the family. She clarified that she had been clear about this matter in previous briefings and criticized media outlets for misreporting the situation.

She firmly stated that the Biden family was not at the White House during the time of the incident, as they were at Camp David. Jean-Pierre emphasized that asking such a question was highly irresponsible.

Since the discovery of the bag, speculation has arisen regarding President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, who has struggled with drug addiction in the past.

Initially, it was reported that the zippered bag was found in a cubby where visitors to the West Wing are asked to leave their phones. However, officials later clarified that the bag was discovered near the West Executive entrance, closer to the Situation Room and one floor below the Oval Office.

This entrance is frequently used by VIPs, visitors, tourists, staff members, military officials, and facilities operations employees.

Officials involved in the investigation have expressed doubts about finding the person responsible for leaving the bag, considering the high foot traffic in the area where it was found.

Kayleigh McEnany, former White House Press Secretary, criticized Jean-Pierre’s briefing, stating that she provided no substantial answers to the questions raised.

“I would not have walked to that podium without saying, ‘Secret Service, you have to give me something here.’ … She brought no answers. Totally inexcusable,” McEnany remarked.
