Indiana Taxpayers Shelled Out $101,700 To 1619 Project Author For Two Days’ Work
Indiana taxpayers spent more than $100,000 1619 Project author Nikole Hannah-Jones According to a contract obtained under public records laws by The Daily Wire, it was for just over 24 hours.

Hannah-Jones was rewarded with a large paycheck upon her return to the school on October 19. She arrived in the afternoon and participated in two classroom discussions, followed by a presentation. “dinner-party with invited students and Union Board directors involving some discussion, but no prepared remarks from Speaker.” Next day, she was to take part in two more classroom sessions. “30-min public lecture, and 30 minutes of moderated discussion/q&a with the audience. The Daily Wire has previously been able to obtain records for 11 speeches she delivered in 2022. These speeches averaged $40,000 and some were even made online. Last year she delivered at least 33 speeches. That would be an average of $40,000 per speech. $1.2 million In 2022, speaking fees.
Despite the fact that most of them were delivered at universities, historians from across the political spectrum pointing to significant errors in her writing, down to the foundational assertion that America’s colonists fought for independence from Britain in order to preserve slavery.

Hannah-Jones also received $75,000 last year, but she did not work at the University of North Carolina as part of a settlement.
