IRS Whistleblower Accuses DOJ of Hampering Hunter Biden Tax Probe
A shocking revelation has emerged from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) as a whistleblower has come forward to accuse the Department of Justice (DOJ) of obstructing a tax probe into Hunter Biden. In an exclusive interview with CBS News, Gary Shapley, a 14-year employee of the IRS, revealed that federal prosecutors were giving preferential treatment to the president’s son.
Shapley, who was assigned to the case in 2020, said, “When I took control of this particular investigation, I immediately saw it was way outside the norm of what I’ve experienced in the past.”
The existence of the federal tax probe by the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office was confirmed by the Biden-Harris presidential transition team weeks after the 2020 election. However, the corporate press ignored the story along with the rest of the scandals surrounding the Biden family in the days leading up to the election.
Shapley grew frustrated with the progress from the Delaware U.S. attorney’s office involving “a high profile, controversial” investigation that the network identified as Hunter Biden’s. He said, “There were multiple steps that were slow-walked — were just completely not done — at the direction of the Department of Justice. These deviations from the process seemed to always benefit the subject.”
Two whistleblowers have now emerged within the IRS to allege DOJ misconduct in the Hunter Biden federal tax probe. Last week, one whistleblower was removed from the investigation in what appeared to be retaliation for speaking out, which would violate whistleblower protection laws.
More whistleblowers from within the FBI have made similar allegations that the Justice Department is working to shield the Biden family from a thorough investigation. House Republicans who reviewed “suspicious activity reports” housed within the Treasury Department say they’ve expanded their own investigation of the Biden family finances to “six additional” members.
