Israel shares video of tanks entering and operating in Gaza.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) Launches Major Ground Incursion into Gaza
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have released captivating footage of a massive deployment of tanks and heavily armored vehicles entering northern Gaza under the cover of darkness. This marks the longest and most extensive ground operation of the ongoing military campaign, which was initiated in response to the brutal massacre of over 1,400 Israelis by Hamas terrorists earlier this month.
According to The Times of Israel, the tanks, foot soldiers, and engineering units remain on the ground inside Gaza as of Saturday morning local time. This incursion follows two previous, smaller-scale missions conducted earlier this week.

Israel is now planning to allow a significantly larger amount of humanitarian aid to enter the southern Gaza Strip from Egypt. The hope is that this influx of essential supplies will encourage people to evacuate the northern Gaza region, where the military is currently operating.
The latest ground incursion into northern Gaza was preceded by a relentless assault on Hamas’ underground tunnel network. The IDF targeted and destroyed 150 sites, eliminating multiple high-ranking officials in the process.
Hamas relies on these tunnels for covert meetings, movement, and storage of weapons and ammunition. In fact, two years ago, they even used hardwired landlines within the tunnels to orchestrate the October 7 attacks, evading Israeli intelligence interception.
“During the attack, terrorists of the terrorist organization Hamas were eliminated and combat tunnels, underground combat spaces, and other underground terrorist infrastructures were destroyed,” stated the IDF.

Furthermore, the IDF successfully eliminated numerous high-value targets during the airstrikes, including the individual responsible for overseeing Hamas’ aerial assets.
“Overnight, IDF fighter jets struck Asem Abu Rakaba, the Head of Hamas’ Aerial Array,” announced the IDF. “Abu Rakaba was in charge of Hamas’ UAVs, drones, paragliders, aerial detection, and defense. He played a key role in planning the October 7 massacre and commanded the terrorists who infiltrated Israel using paragliders. He was also responsible for the drone attacks on IDF posts.”

What is the justification for Israel’s airstrikes and ground operation in Gaza?
Command and control centers, and weapon storage facilities were destroyed,” said IDF spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Conricus. “This operation severely hampers Hamas’ ability to carry out attacks against Israeli civilians and forces.”
The IDF has been conducting airstrikes on Gaza for weeks in response to the constant barrage of rockets fired by Hamas towards Israeli cities. The ground operation is seen as a necessary step to further degrade Hamas’ infrastructure and capabilities.
While Israel’s actions have been condemned by some countries and international organizations, Israel argues that it has the right to defend itself and its citizens against Hamas’ relentless aggression. The Israeli government maintains that its actions are proportionate and necessary to ensure the safety and security of its people.
However, the escalation of violence has led to a humanitarian crisis in Gaza, with thousands of Palestinians displaced and in desperate need of basic supplies and medical assistance. The international community has called for an immediate ceasefire and the resumption of negotiations towards a lasting peace agreement.
Efforts are also underway to coordinate humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza. The United Nations and various international organizations are working with Israel and Egypt to facilitate the delivery of essential supplies and medical assistance to those in need.
The situation in Gaza remains volatile, with the IDF continuing its ground operation and Hamas vowing to fight until its demands are met. The international community must redouble its efforts to bring an end to the violence and work towards a peaceful resolution that addresses the root causes of the conflict.
It is hoped that a ceasefire can be reached soon, allowing for the necessary humanitarian aid and assistance to reach those affected by the conflict. The suffering and loss of life on both sides must come to an end, and a lasting peace must be achieved in the region.
