Netanyahu’s Emergency Heart Procedure Scheduled
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to Undergo Emergency Heart Procedure
In a video posted to his Twitter account during the early morning hours on Sunday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu revealed that he has to undergo an emergency heart procedure after being hospitalized several days ago.
Netanyahu, 73, was admitted to the Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer last Saturday following a fall at his home where he lost consciousness and hit his head. Initially, it was believed to be caused by dehydration.
“I want to update you on what’s going to happen,” Netanyahu said in the video. “Last week they gave me a monitoring device. The device beeped and indicated that I need a pacemaker, and I need to have the procedure done tonight. I feel great, but I trust my doctors.”
“The doctors have informed me that I will be discharged tomorrow afternoon already,” he added. “I will leave the hospital and be ready to attend the Knesset for the vote.”
