Israeli Ambassador assaulted by U.N. security for criticizing Iranian President. Iranians show support.
Israel’s Ambassador Stands Up for Iranian Oppression Victims at the UN
During Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi’s speech at the United Nations, Israel’s ambassador, Gilad Erdan, boldly displayed a photo of Mahsa Amini, a young woman who was brutally murdered by the Iranian regime for not conforming to their hijab rules. Erdan’s action was a powerful statement of solidarity with the oppressed people of Iran.
However, instead of being applauded for his courage, U.N. security personnel immediately detained Erdan, sparking outrage and condemnation.
New moral stain for the UN ‼️
When President Raisi of Iran, the “Butcher of Tehran,” began his speech, I waved a picture of Mahsa Amini, the innocent Iranian woman who was brutally murdered by the regime one year ago for not wearing a hijab “properly.”

Prior to his courageous act, Erdan expressed his concerns about the Ayatollah regime’s oppression and brutality:
“While the UN rolls out the red carpet for the Butcher of Tehran, President Raisi, Iranians in New York are here to show the true face of the Ayatollah regime. The leaders in Iran only seek to oppress, starve, and murder their own people, while exporting terror and racing toward nuclear weapons. The world must wake up and listen to the voices of innocent Iranians! The Ayatollah regime must be held accountable for their crimes and pay the price! The people of Israel stand with the people of Iran.”
Erdan’s actions received support from Iranians who are tired of living under the despotic regime:

“Raisi was one of four members of a death committee responsible for the 1988 execution of thousands of Iranian prisoners of conscience in the space of a few months,” Tablet Magazine reported in July 2021. “The ideologically motivated mass executions constituted both a crime against humanity and genocide—a cleansing of religious infidels—according to international human rights expert Geoffrey Robertson. It was a massacre, comparable to those at Srebrenica and the Katyn Forest.”
“Virgins were systematically raped before their execution, to circumvent the Islamic prohibition on killing virgins and to prevent women and girls from reaching heaven,” Tablet added. “The executed were ordered to write their own names on their hands before they went to their death.”
Erdan’s arrest at the United Nations headquarters highlights the lack of freedom of speech within an organization that claims to support international freedom and rights. His actions speak for millions of Iranians who are held captive by a tyrannical regime.

What impact did Erdan’s actions have on Iranians themselves and their desire for freedom and justice
The oppressive practices of the Iranian regime and stand in solidarity with the victims who suffer under its rule. The action taken by Israel’s ambassador at the UN, Gilad Erdan, exemplifies this commitment to supporting the oppressed people of Iran.
The photo of Mahsa Amini displayed by Erdan during President Raisi’s speech serves as a powerful symbol of defiance against the injustice imposed by the Iranian regime. Amini was mercilessly murdered by the regime simply for not conforming to their hijab rules. By showcasing her image, Erdan brought attention to the brutal reality faced by many Iranians under this oppressive regime.
However, instead of being commended for his courageous act, Erdan was immediately detained by U.N. security personnel. This response has sparked outrage and condemnation, as it reflects a failure to recognize the importance of advocating for human rights and demonstrating solidarity with those who suffer.
Prior to displaying the photo, Erdan expressed his concerns about the Ayatollah regime’s oppression and brutality. He highlighted their disregard for the well-being of their own people, opting instead to oppress, starve, and murder them while simultaneously exporting terror and aiming to acquire nuclear weapons. Erdan’s call for accountability and justice resonates not only with the people of Israel but with individuals worldwide who stand against such human rights abuses.
Erdan’s actions received support from Iranians themselves, who have grown tired of living under the despotic rule of their government. This support signifies the shared desire for freedom and justice, transcending geopolitical boundaries.
By shedding light on the actions of Israel’s ambassador at the UN, we have an opportunity to raise awareness about the systemic oppression faced by innocent Iranians. It is crucial that the international community listen to the voices of those suffering under the Ayatollah regime and take meaningful steps to hold them accountable for their crimes.
In displaying the photo of Mahsa Amini, Gilad Erdan has demonstrated the importance of standing up against oppression and advocating for the rights of the persecuted. His unwavering commitment to justice serves as an inspiration for others to do the same. It is our responsibility to ensure that victims of Iranian oppression are not forgotten and that their stories are heard on the international stage.
