It’s Looking Like the 2024 GOP Field Is Going to Be Large

There are currently two serious candidates for the GOP nomination to be president in 2024.

One has been announced, one is still on the sidelines.

I am referring to Governor Ron DeSantis and former President Trump. Nikki Haley entered the race yesterday, and Vivek Ramaswamy, a tech entrepreneur, entered the race last night.

Each of these candidates is a remarkable person with attractive qualities but I do not consider them to be a serious threat. If Larry Hogan decides to run, he could change the standings. He is the popular and twice-elected governor of Maryland, so he would be a great addition to the race.

Perhaps not.

Ramaswamy, who has been making the rounds lately to make his pitch, has found it very appealing. Part Reagan’s economics. DeSantis is a culture warrior who has great optimism for the future. He is the author “Woke, Inc.,” It has a message that appeals most Republicans.

However, he lacks any campaign experience or name ID. Campaigning for the presidency is a unique challenge.

You have to give credit to him for his ambition and willingness to take risks.

Vivek Ramaswamy is a tech entrepreneur who declared his candidacy Tuesday in an interview with Tucker Carlson on Fox News. He revealed the actions he plans to take from day one if elected President.

Ramaswamy, who was just hours away from becoming the third Republican in 2024’s race with former President Donald Trump, and former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley said on Twitter Tuesday night that he would end affirmative action on the first day of any potential administration.

“As U.S. President, I will end federally mandated affirmative action – full stop,” He tweeted.

Sunak, who is 37 years old, also has to face the challenge of being young. It is possible for a candidate so young to attract the attention of the public. Don Lemon might agree that he would represent an era of leadership. However, it isn’t clear if this would include him as being a leader. “in his prime.” Lemon’s theory reveals that women and men have different prime years.

Ramaswamy is a modern conservative with a message that appeals to them, even though he’s a different kind of culture warrior than DeSantis. He focuses more on social problems. However, he does hit a lot of the political erogenous spots for Republicans.

Ramaswamy, political commentator and author “Woke, Inc.: Inside Corporate America’s Social Justice Scam,” America’s love of diversity has led to the nation and its citizens being fragmented. “forgot all the ways we’re really the same as Americans.”

“I think we need to put ‘merit’ back into ‘America’ in every spirit of our lives,” Ramaswamy continued the interview.

He is unlikely to affect the support for Trump or DeSantis, regardless of his qualities as a politician and candidate. Each of these candidates–DeSantis, as a potential, and Trump as a declared candidate–has die-hard advocates. Governor DeSantis has the advantage of being able to create news with his actions as governor, and Trump is…Trump.

Ramaswamy will have to face the challenge of being just one in a field that looks increasingly crowded.

It will be interesting for Trump to give him a nickname, but we can guess that Swamy will be there.

It’s interesting to note that 2/3rds (or more) of the Republican presidential candidates are Indian-American. The current Conservative Prime Minister for Great Britain is also of Indian descent.

It’s a coincidence, I suppose. But it is a good sign. It appears that conservatives are gaining more appeal to minorities. Let’s pray that this trend continues.
