Democrats’ Blueprint for Political Investigations: Punishing Enemies

Nadler outlined Democrats’ plans to go “all-in” on investigating and impeaching Donald Trump. He believed that impeaching Trump was more important than going after Brett Kavanaugh, as it could harm Joe Biden’s chances of becoming president. Nadler had no evidence to support the accusation of collusion with Russia, but he saw it as a way to pave the path for a Biden presidency.
This conversation foreshadowed not only Trump’s two impeachments and Biden’s presidency but also revealed the blueprint for how Leftists would handle political investigations. Evidence and fairness took a backseat to the desire to punish their enemies.
This shift in strategy was not limited to Nadler. Letitia James, campaigning to become New York’s attorney general, promised to find a way to take Trump to court, regardless of plausibility. And she followed through.
The Short-Sightedness of the Strategy
However, this strategy is short-sighted. Democrats failed to secure perpetual political power, which is their ultimate goal. With Republicans now in control of the House, they have launched their own impeachment inquiry, focusing on whether Biden sold favors to foreign interests.
Once Nadler adopted the Stalinist standard for impeachment, evidence became irrelevant. Impeachment became a tool for raw political power, disregarding fairness and the rule of law.
The White House and the Biden family are well aware of this. Hunter Biden, facing a congressional subpoena, refuses to comply and demands a public hearing instead. His justification is baseless, merely a preference that he believes should bind Congress.
Contrast this with Steve Bannon, who defied a congressional subpoena and cited executive privilege as his defense. While debatable, Bannon’s defense was rooted in the law and is currently being reviewed in the federal appellate process. He was sentenced to four months in prison.
Will Hunter Biden face the same consequences? Congressional Republicans threaten to hold him in contempt, but the question remains whether Biden’s DOJ will pursue criminal charges and demand his testimony about his father’s involvement in his business.
Is Joe Biden Involved in His Son’s Wrongdoings?
The ongoing impeachment inquiry raises questions about Joe Biden’s involvement in his son Hunter Biden’s questionable activities. While the Department of Justice is pursuing charges against Hunter for fraudulent gun forms and tax evasion, these charges do not directly address the main issue at hand. The White House press secretary’s response to a reporter’s inquiry about Joe Biden’s knowledge of Hunter defying a congressional subpoena was dismissive and made light of the situation.

Hunter Biden’s recent statement that his father was not “financially involved” in his business dealings does not deny Joe Biden’s overall involvement, but rather narrows it down to financial matters.

Testimonies from Hunter Biden’s business associates and public comments from Tony Bobulinski, a former business partner, further implicate Joe Biden in his son’s influence peddling. Despite these revelations, Democrats deny the existence of witnesses and attempt to discredit the investigation.
