Ivanka Trump, daughter of former President Donald Trump, embarked on a meaningful journey to Hawaii to provide assistance to those still grappling with the devastating wildfires that ravaged the area last month.
The former first daughter joined forces with CityServe International on a charitable mission, providing over 250,000 meals to families displaced by the devastating wildfires, which marked a dark chapter in American history.
During her visit, Ivanka also made a stop at a Lahaina church that had been transformed into a food bank, where she had the opportunity to engage with locals who were in the process of rebuilding their lives.
“Her humble presence lifted spirits and reminded the people of Lahaina that they are not forgotten,” CityServe stated.
“Amidst the tears, there are signs of hope and love. With the arrival of meals and supplies, our team, alongside Ivanka, worked tirelessly to distribute supplies, offer comfort to survivors, and share meals with those who have lost everything,” the organization continued.
According to CityServe, Ivanka Trump personally distributed food, water, local produce, gift cards, and other essential supplies to those in need.
In addition, the charity is providing gas cards and air filters to locals, as they have been advised not to drink the water in the area.
The group also revealed that a cargo plane carrying over $1 million worth of supplies, including electric scooters, e-bikes, toys, dry foods, and small appliances, will be arriving in Hawaii, thanks to Ivanka’s involvement.
Currently, the wildfires have scorched over 2,000 acres of land, resulting in a death toll of 97 and 66 people still missing. Additionally, approximately 2,200 structures have been damaged or destroyed.
Experts estimate that the cleanup process will take several months and cost nearly $5.5 million.
Since leaving the political arena, Ivanka Trump has dedicated herself to charitable endeavors and raising her three children with her husband, Jared Kushner.
