Tucker Carlson of Fox News released footage from Capitol Hill showing some of the events on January 6,^Th, 2021.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif. had given Carlson over 40,000 hours worth of surveillance camera footage. Security footage included both inside and outside the Capitol Building. This footage was not available prior to now.

Carlson said that footage captured lawmakers as well as the media. “lying” The events that occurred on that fateful day. The first footage showed Trump supporters walking peacefully around the building, taking photographs. That was contrary to what had been shown before. It allowed Democrat lawmakers the opportunity to make comparisons with 9/11 and Pearl Harbor.

Video footage shows several Capitol officers accompanying Chansley and interacting with him around the building without making any attempt to stop him.

Chansley was later taken into custody and charged with “knowingly entering or remaining in any restricted building or grounds without lawful authority, and with violent entry and disorderly conduct on Capitol grounds.” His sentence was almost four years.

Miranda Devine (New York Post columnist) spoke to Carlson about the footage. She said it proved Chansley was “harmless.”

“You can see the way those people were walking through the Capitol… they are walking meekly, politely queuing, very peaceable. They don’t mean any harm. They are treating the Capitol with reverence,” Devine stated. “That doesn’t excuse the others, the minority of the protesters who did break windows and fight police and injure police and cause mayhem. But the people who are now being picked up and some of them have been jailed without trial for months, even years on end, did not commit violence. They walked through open doors, they were escorted by police, they felt that this was okay. And I think Jacob Chansley is a classic example of that.”

A digital bookmark was found in the archives for Officer Sicknick’s footage. Carlson highlighted that the bookmark suggests that there is a high probability that the House Select Committee watched the footage, but did not include it in the final reports or hearings.

Ray Epps was also seen on Capitol Building grounds at least 30 minutes following his statement to the House Select Committee that he sent the text message to his nephew. He then headed back to his hotel. Many suspect that Epps may have coordinated with FBI agents as no criminal charges have been filed against him.

A House Select Committee claim that Senator Josh Hawley (Republican-Mo.), was a false accuser was also refuted in the new footage The footage showed that he fled in a cowardly fashion. He was seen fleeing in a cowardly manner. However, Capitol police escorted him and other lawmakers away from that area.

“The clip was propaganda,” Carlson spoke of the footage used by the committee. “Not evidence.”

Already, the Democrats have faced a lot of backlash after Fox News released footage. Rep. Thomas Massie, a Republican from Kentucky, stated that he changed his mind after watching the footage. A poll showed that a majority of Americans want all footage released, even Democrats.

Carlson stated that more footage will be made available. Trump, the former president of the United States, took to Truth Social in an attempt to get anyone currently being held without bail released. He was due to stand trial on January 6.^Th.
