Jane Fonda Says “There’d Be No Climate Crisis if It Wasn’t for Racism”

Jane Fonda is currently on an international press tour to promote her movie. 80 For Brady, and unsurprisingly, she’s shamelessly using these interviews to push her “woke” Radially liberal agenda

Interviews are conducted during the interview “The Kelly Clarkson Show” Fonda decided to change the conversation from her comedy film this week and instead say that “there’d be no climate crisis if it wasn’t for racism.”

Fonda Sounds Off

“Well, you know, you can take anything… sexism, racism, misogyny, homophobia… whatever… the war,” said Fonda, 85, according to Market Watch. “And if you really get into it, and study it and learn about it and the history of it and everything’s connected. There’d be no climate crisis if it wasn’t for racism.”

When her 91 year-old co-star Rita Moreno asked her to clarify what she meant by this, Fonda went even further into her radicalism.

“Where would they put the s**t? Where would they put the poison and the pollution?” she asked. “They’re not gonna put it in Bel Air.”

“They’ve got to find some place where poor people or indigenous people or people of color are living,” she continued. “Put it there. They can’t fight back. And that’s why a big part of the climate movement now has to do with climate justice.”

Fonda’s Activism

Earlier in her interview with Clarkson, Fonda talked about what let her to becoming a social activist in the first place.

“For me, it was learning about the Vietnam War,” Fonda said, according to Fox News. “And when I really understood what that was about, I couldn’t not do anything except try to join the movement to stop it.”

It should be noted that during the Vietnam War, Fonda infamously earned herself the nickname “Hanoi Jane” after she was caught on camera gleefully posing on top of an anti-aircraft gun while visiting North Vietnam in 1972.

Fonda’s climate activism has resulted in her getting arrested multiple times in recent years through her Fire Drill Friday protests in Washington D.C. Her first of these arrests came in October of 2019, when she was one of 16 people arrested on the Capitol steps and was subsequently charged with “crowding, obstructing or incommoding.”

In the years since then, multiple similar arrests have followed for Fonda, and you can see her talk about this in the video below.

Jane Fonda Climate PAC

The two-time Oscar winner has even gone so far as to launch the Jane Fonda Climate PAC to further push her agenda.

“I’ve spent my life fighting for what I believe in,” she said. “When I was 32, President Nixon had me arrested. 50 years later I was arrested five times for protesting the government’s inaction on climate change. It’s no secret that I have a history of ruffling feathers in Washington.”

Fonda went on to say that the goal of her PAC is to “do what it takes to defeat fossil fuel supporters and elect climate champions at all levels of government.”

“I believe this is the most important thing I will do in my lifetime,” she added.

80 For Brady is meant to be an apolitical comedy that everyone can enjoy, regardless of their political beliefs, so it’s unfortunate that Fonda has hijacked the movie’s press tour to push her radically ignorant climate agenda. All Fonda is accomplishing with this is alienating a large portion of the audience that may have been interested in seeing her movie, had she not tried to force her radical views down our throats.
