United States Treasury Secretary Janet⁤ Yellen confidently stated on Monday that the U.S.⁢ has the financial capability ⁤to support ‌both the Israel ⁣and Ukraine wars.

During an interview with Britain’s Sky News, Yellen confidently affirmed that the​ U.S. can “absolutely” afford to fund‍ both ongoing conflicts in the Middle⁢ East and ⁣Europe.

“America can certainly ​afford to ​stand⁣ with Israel ‌and to support ‌Israel’s military needs, and we also can and⁢ must support Ukraine in its struggle against Russia. The American economy is ​doing extremely ⁤well.” Yellen said ⁣in an interview with Sky News.

Meanwhile, the ‍Biden⁢ Administration is urging Congress to pass an emergency aid package that would deliver support to both Ukraine and ‍Israel.

Additionally, White ⁤House national security adviser Jake Sullivan stated during an ‍interview on CBS‘ “Face‍ the Nation” that President‍ Joe Biden plans to discuss the need for an ⁣aid package with lawmakers for both nations.

“The ‍president has ⁢made it clear that he will present Congress with a funding package for⁤ Ukraine as well as continued support for Israel,” Sullivan said. He ⁤noted that the cost⁢ of the aid package will be “significantly higher” than $2 billion.

However, with a ⁤ vacant House Speaker,​ the⁢ House ⁤is currently unable to pass any legislation,‍ including a ​bill to assist Israel in their conflict with Hamas.

Yellen emphasized the ​urgency of releasing funds immediately and urged ⁢Republicans to‍ elect‍ a ‍new Speaker.

“America stands firmly behind Israel, period,” Yellen stated. “America has also made it clear to Israel that ​we are working closely with them and that they have the right to defend themselves. However, it⁤ is important to minimize ⁣civilian casualties as‌ much as possible.”

Israel is preparing for a ground invasion of Gaza ⁢after conducting continuous airstrikes.⁤ Over ‌1,400 Israelis have been killed in ⁤Hamas⁤ terrorist attacks, while Palestinian authorities report at least 2,670 deaths⁢ in Gaza.

Biden is ‌scheduled to visit Israel on ⁣Wednesday‍ to meet with top officials and discuss ​the Israel-Hamas ⁤conflict.
