Jasmine Crockett claims Ted Cruz should be ‘knocked over the head’ in debate
Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) called for Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) to be “knocked over the head” in a recent interview discussing what Democrats can do in future elections against the Texas senator.
When Crockett was asked how Democrats win elections in Texas, she suggested, “I think you punch” against your opponents. She then recalled how former Rep. Colin Allred (D-TX) tried to beat Cruz in the Texas Senate race last year.
“And I love Colin, and I think towards the end he started to punch a little harder, but like, it’s Ted Cruz!” Crockett said on NBC 5 DFW. “I mean, like, this dude has to be knocked over the head, like, hard, right? Like, there is no niceties with him, like, at all!”
The White House’s Rapid Response account on X highlighted Crockett’s comments on Monday, calling her “another unhinged Democrat inciting violence.”

Cruz’s office declined to comment on Crockett’s statement to the Washington Examiner.
DEMOCRATS’ BIG DILEMMA: ‘RAISE HELL’ OR FIND COMPROMISE WITH GOP
On Sunday, Attorney General Pam Bondi issued a warning to Crockett to “tread very carefully” with her public comments in the future after the Texas lawmaker said she wants to see Elon Musk, an ally of Trump, “taken down” on her birthday next weekend.
Multiple Tesla dealerships have been vandalized amid opposition to Musk, with the Washington Examiner’s Joe Concha comparing those carrying out these attacks to those publicly supporting Luigi Mangione, who is accused of killing United Healthcare CEO Brian Thompson last year.
