Jason Miller says Biden’s doctor should ‘answer’ to Congress for ‘cover-up’ – Washington Examiner
The article discusses former President Donald Trump’s senior adviser, Jason Miller, calling for President Joe Biden’s doctor to be held accountable for allegedly covering up Biden’s mental deterioration. Miller argues that Biden’s ability to serve a second term is in question, especially after a controversial debate performance. The article also touches on speculation about Trump’s vice presidential pick and a potential matchup between Trump and Michelle Obama. Despite rumors, the White House denies that Biden is considering dropping out of the 2024 race.
Jason Miller says Biden’s doctor should ‘answer’ to Congress for ‘cover-up’
Former President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Jason Miller argued that President Joe Biden’s doctor ought to face consequences for assisting in the “cover-up” of Biden’s mental deterioration.
Kevin O’Connor, Biden’s personal physician, released a memo in late February that said the president was fit to continue his presidential duties, with Miller arguing this is “very clear now not the case.” Biden’s ability to serve a second term in office has come under great scrutiny after the first presidential debate, with many people suggesting he step aside.
“We’ve seen the reporting from Carl Bernstein and others that Joe Biden’s had a number of these moments,” Miller said on Newsmax. “Of course, we all saw what happened on the debate stage on Thursday, and now you have all these Democratic honchos who are saying, ‘Joe, it’s time to step aside.’ But you’re going to tell us that Joe Biden’s been totally fine? Bianca, this has been a cover-up. I think Dr. Kevin O’Connor needs to be brought up to Congress. I think he needs to answer because, again, think about Joe Biden who’s actually controlling the nuclear codes.”
Miller also addressed the topic of who Trump will select as his vice president, stating that Trump’s decision will be announced sometime between now and July 15, the deadline to file paperwork related to his selection. He added that he looks forward to the vice presidential debate between Trump’s candidate and Vice President Kamala Harris, which is currently scheduled to take place on either July 23 or Aug. 13, according to the Biden campaign.
The topic of a hypothetical matchup between Trump and former first lady Michelle Obama was also discussed, as polling data indicate that she could beat the former president in a scenario where she replaced Biden as the Democratic nominee. Miller said he was “not at all” worried about this data, claiming that Obama does not want to get involved in this race and she and her husband are enjoying their time away from political races.
The White House tried to strike down speculation that Biden is considering dropping out of the 2024 race, with press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre saying he’s “moving forward with his campaign.” First lady Jill Biden, meanwhile, has stated that the Biden family will “continue to fight” in the months to come.

Earlier this year, special counsel Robert Hur stated in a report that Biden could not be prosecuted for mishandling classified material, in part because the president displayed memory problems during their interview. He also said that Biden came off as a “sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory.”
The House Judiciary Committee filed a lawsuit against Attorney General Merrick Garland on Monday to demand a court to order the Justice Department to release the audio recording of Hur’s interview with Biden. The lawsuit also demands the Justice Department provide recordings of an interview that Hur conducted with Biden’s ghostwriter, Mark Zwonitzer.
