Jennifer Grey Said Her Guest Role On ‘Friends’ Was Recast Because She Had ‘Anxiety’
Actress Jennifer Grey had the chance to be a recurring character on the hit NBC comedy “Friends,” but she turned it down due to anxiety. The popular sitcom aired from 1994 until 2004 and became a cultural phenomenon. Grey appeared as Mindy Hunter, a woman who was having an affair with Rachel Green’s then-fiancé, Dr. Barry Farber. However, the constant script changes and pressure of being a guest star caused Grey to experience extreme anxiety. She later realized that she needed help in the anxiety department and turned down the opportunity to return for the second season of “Friends.” Grey also turned down the chance to host “Saturday Night Live” due to anxiety. It’s a shame that she missed out on these opportunities, but she learned from her experiences and wishes she had people to help her navigate her fears. The role of Mindy was recast going forward on “Friends.” Don’t miss out on the latest news and updates – click here to get the Daily Wire app!
